Good news! Your blue bin can be used for Auckland Council’s new subscriber rubbish collection service starting early 2017. Reusing your bin will make a positive contribution towards reducing waste in Auckland. By using your blue recycling bin next year for rubbish, you will help prevent the introduction of an additional 1.4 million kg of new plastic into the environment. That’s about the same weight as 200 elephants!
