Public holiday collections (this information is on the Council website)
Auckland Council rubbish and recycling collections, with some exceptions, happen one day later than usual after a public holiday.
Exceptions:
- Parnell and Newmarket: no changes to Thursday night rubbish collections for red lidded wheelie bins.
- Inner-CBD: no changes to kerbside collections for rubbish bags, recycling bags and paper/cardboard.
- North Shore and Waitakere: no changes to business evening kerbside rubbish bag collection and business recycling and paper/cardboard collections.
If you use a private rubbish collection service, contact your provider to ask about their holiday schedules.
Holiday rubbish collections 2015-2016
We will continue to collect your rubbish and recycling over the holidays, but there are some changes to collection days in December, January and February.
Christmas and New Year
If your collection day is not listed, rubbish and recycling will be collected on the usual day.
Please note that although Monday 28 December is a public holiday, rubbish and recycling will be collected as normal.
