Organisers of the month-long EcoWest Festival are looking for local community groups and businesses to join in the Festival programme in March 2013.
The EcoWest Festival organised by EcoMatters Environment Trust and supported by Auckland Council will give West Aucklanders the chance to get involved in eco-activities and learn how to introduce sustainability into their lives.
The Festival provides an opportunity for local groups and businesses with an environmentally friendly or sustainable product or service to engage a wider audience through hosting an event during the Festival.
As part of the EcoWest Festival the very popular EcoDay will be back at Olympic Park on Sunday 10th March. Events can be talks, walks, tours, drop-ins, exhibitions or displays, open days, workshops or something more imaginative and will need to happen in March 2013.
EcoWest Event Manager Anna Fomison says “EcoDay is back! EcoDay was missed last year and we are looking forward to once again holding the free family-friendly day that will include an Eco Expo, a Green Marketplace, a Green Transport zone, informative workshops and fun activities for the kids.”
